“Extraordinary income and expenses” for the year include gains or losses arising from the restatement of financial statements
in countries with high inflation rates. For the current year the net extraordinary profit arising therefrom amounted
to Ptas. 564 million.
A net amount of Ptas. 1,696 million relating to income obtained by the subsidiaries for operations in Puerto Rico is included
in “Extraordinary income.”
“Extraordinary expenses” includes an amount of Ptas. 500 million relating to the extraordinary charge for retirement premiums
to personnel.
