INSURANCE
BUSINESS
We have insurance coverage for protection against the various risks that may affect ourselves and
our industry in general.
In particular, we have obtained coverage under a Net Secure insurance policy which specifically
protects us against IT security and other risks associated with the electronic publishing business.
This insurance covers three specific areas:
(a) Liability — for content injury such as infringement of copyright and trademark, defamation
and privacy violation;
— for internet and network wrongful acts such as security breaches and errors
and omissions causing damage to third parties;
(b) Property — protection for, amongst others, electronic data and other electronic materials
against cyberspace perils such as computer viruses;
— coverage for business income and extra expenses incurred due to disruption,
interruption, delay or suspension of Internet and network activities caused by
defined cyberspace perils; and
(c) Crime — coverage for computer crime, theft of computer system resources and extortion
related to computer systems and electronic data.
To effect the Net Secure insurance coverage, we confirmed to the underwriters of our policy that we
will implement certain items relating to an intrusion detection system and a business continuity plan
within a time frame as suggested by our consultants, PricewaterhouseCoopers. We are currently
taking steps to implement these items within the suggested time frame.
We have also effected other general insurance coverage in respect of Workmen’s Compensation,
Dependents’ Medical Coverage, Group Personal Accident, Group Term Life, Industrial All Risks,
Electronic Equipment and Fidelity Guarantee.
