• This scholarship program is looking to celebrate
motivated, passionate, college bound students
nationwide. You may qualify for up to $25,000 /year
for four years.
• Applicants must be enrolling for full time study as first
time freshman at a 4 year college or university
• Applicants must be planning to major in one of the
following: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math,
Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or Design,
and also those seeking a career in the automotive or
related industries should apply. To apply visit the

• This scholarship will be awarded to a student of good
character who is in need of financial help and has the
desire to further his or her education,
• This scholarship will be used solely for payment of
tuition and shall be paid directly to the college or
university the recipients will attend.
• In addition to financial need, the student who receives
the award should demonstrate strong qualities in
academics, leadership, citizenship and service to school
and community
Applicants must have demonstrated leadership in school
activities, other than athletics.
• Each applicant is to submit a one page essay on the
topic “The Importance of Student Involvement in
School Activities.”
• The applicant must also provide a resume indicating
leadership positions they have held and their
contributions to their school while in these positions
• In addition, two letters of recommendation are to be
submitted, one each from the principal and an activity

• Applicant must use the award for post high school
education (college, community college, trade school,
etc.)
• The following is the criteria for eligibility:
- Applicant must be a New Jersey resident
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
- Applicant has visited the New Jersey Vietnam
Veterans’ Memorial
- Applicant has written an essay about his/her visit
to the memorial
- Applicant has submitted verification of acceptance
at a particular school with application
- Application must be typed or printed legibly in its
entirety
- Applicant may submit only one (1) application per
school year.
- Applicant must sign and date Authentication.
Parent or guardian signature is also required for
applicant under 18.

Memorial Scholarship
• Applications are screened by education professionals.
Final selection is made by the Purple Aster Lodge
Education Committee.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens of Italian decent (at
least one Italian or Italian American grandparent)
enrolled in an undergraduate program at a four year or
two year accredited academic institution for the fall of
2011 term.
• Applicant must complete the application form and
include two letters of recommendation from teachers,
professors, or educational administrators.
• Submit a typewritten original essay of 500-750 words
about a personal experience which demonstrated or
generated pride in your Italian heritage.
• Seniors who will be playing golf at the college level can
earn financial assistance with their education.
• Applicants must write a brief biography of community
and school activities, honors, awards and notable
accomplishments.
• Obtain two written teacher recommendations; one
written recommendation from the Athletic Director or
Golf Coach.
• Write and attach a scholarship essay telling how golf
has improved your academic and life skills. The essay
should be typed, double-spaced, and submitted with
the application packet. Your response should be no
more than two pages. Mail your completed packet to:

Bruce A. Black Memorial Scholarship - applicant must be an
Eagle Scout from New Jersey with a 3.5 GPA based upon a
4.0 scale.
• Applicant’s career goals are in computer sciences.
• Applicant must include a transcript after Jan 2st and
SAT scores
Frank D. Visceglia Memorial Scholarship - applicant must
be an Eagle Scout
• Preference given to Scouts whose Eagle Scout
community service projects are related to the
environment and/or the economy (a description of that
project will be among the deciding factors in awarding
the scholarship.
• Preference will be given to Scouts whose career goals
are in development related fields and/or who intend to
major in related fields.

first semester, and the remaining one half applied in

Agricultural Scholarship
• Application must include an essay of 250-500 words,
typewritten to discuss general criteria as indicated in
the “basis of selection statement above.
• Application must include three (3) reference letters
from an adult not related to the student: 1) Classroom
teacher. 2) An adult other than classroom teacher who
has been associated with the student in
extracurricular/community activities. 3) A personal
character reference.
• Secondary school academic record – minimum 3.0 as of
the most current report card
• The applicant must be furthering their education in
agriculture or a related field, at a school of higher
learning.
• The applicant must demonstrate the following
characteristics, which were evident in Billy Consalo:
Humanitarian, leadership, outstanding sportsman,
integrity, desire and determination.
• Applicant must be a graduating senior in good academic
standing, maintaining a “C” average or better.
• Financial need may be considered.
• A letter is to be written by the student candidate
explaining why they are interested in agriculture.
• A transcript of the student’s grades and a photograph
are to be submitted.
• Please do not use staples when submitting your
application. Paper clips are acceptable

Club Scholarship
The award recipient must:
• Complete and return an application which may be
downloaded from: www.njcts.org.
• Be a citizen of New Jersey
• Be a high school senior in a NJ private or public school
• Be planning to attend a college or trade school on a part
time or full time basis.
• Have a diagnosis of Tourette Syndrome
• Provide a record of grades in high school
• Submit an essay of one to two pages, typed, double
space, describing how Tourette Syndrome has played a
part in your life. You may also submit a CD cassette,
DVD or videos displaying your talent(s) (e.g. musical,
slide of works of art, sports) of about five minutes in
length.
• Winner will be selected based upon achievement,
academic accomplishments, and presentation.
• Applicant must be a member of the football team for a
minimum of two years and have been an active
member during their senior year.
• Applicants must write a letter to the Football Booster
Club, explaining briefly the influence that the Absegami
Football Program has had on their lives and how it will
help with future endeavors.
• List all awards the player received including MVP
weekly, coach’s awards, CAL and Press awards.
• Provide transcripts from guidance department with
GPA and class ranking.
• List all scholarships you have already received.

• Recipients can pursue a vocational/technical career or a
2/4 year degree from any accredited
schools/colleges/universities in the United States,
• All applicants will be evaluated based on their
educational experience; community involvement and
activities; demonstrated leadership as indicated in the
application materials; writing samples; academic
transcripts; recommendations; and need as determined
using the Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and /or any
hardship defined on the scholarship application.
• Applicant must complete an application packet and
write a 500 word essay on one of the following
questions: 1) First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move”
campaign against childhood obesity has been a
tremendous success. Describe a campaign focused on
improving the health of children and their families in
your community. 2) Many school officials have no
obligation to provide for the educational needs of
students expelled from a general education program.
How would you suggest a student who is expelled from
school for one academic year, because he/she brought
a gun to school, spend that year
• Applicant must have a minimum undergraduate GPA
Of 2.0. The choice of major is open.
• These awards are available to foster/adopted high
school seniors who are or have been under the care of
the Division of Youth and Family Services.
• You may apply for more than one scholarship grant.

• To be eligible, candidates must currently be a NJ high
school senior, have an established diagnosis of Autism,
Asperger's syndrome, or PDD-NOS and plan on pursuing
a post-secondary education at a college, university,
technical, trade, or vocational school level.
• Academic achievement, meaningful community
volunteerism, participation in extra-curricular activities
and financial needs will all be considered when
choosing a recipient for this scholarship. Student need
not be near the top of their class to be considered. All
who are eligible are encouraged to apply.
• Applicants must complete an application and write a
500 word , double spaced essay on one of two topics:
1) As you prepare to graduate from high school and
further your education, what do you feel you have
contributed to your school and its’ community that
you would like to be remembered for
2) Imagine yourself entering the job market based on
today’s economy. What career path will you
choose, why, and who or what inspired you to do
so
The essay will be judged by the Board of Directors
based on clarity, content, and originality. All applicants’
names will be kept confidential, and for this reason we
request that the student/applicant NOT put his/her
name on the essay pages.
