ARNE FALMÅR
(07.12.1948 - 21.02.2005)
It is with deep sorrow we
announce the death of Captain
Arne Falmår, the late Master
on Bow Viking. Bow Viking was
a few miles outside Suape, enroute
from Morocco to Brazil,
when Captain Falmår was
reported missing. A search and
rescue operation was immediately
initiated and rescue centres
were notified. After a
remarkable search operation
the vessel managed to locate
Captain Falmår in the dark
open sea, but regrettably he
was already deceased when
taken on board.
Captain Arne Falmår (56) had
been with Odfjell since
October 1st 1989, and he was
appointed Master two years
ago. We will all miss him, as a
skilled mariner and a good
colleague. Our thoughts go
to his family.
ANKE JUNG
(23.05.1956 - 30.01.2005)
It is with deep regret we have to
inform that Mrs. Anke Jung passed
away on January 30th 2005
after a short period of illness.
Anke Jung was employed by
Odfjell Ahrenkiel from December
1st, 2003 in the Accounts
Department. Anke Jung was a
skilled employee responsible for
Pool and Company accounting
and internal reports. She is
missed here by everybody.
Our thoughts are with her familiy.
Per Aksnes leaving Singapore

Report 2004
After more than eight years in
Singapore as Operation Manager for
the Odfjell Asia fleet, Per Aksnes and
his wife Angela are now heading back
to Bergen. Per has been part of the
development of the Odfjell regional
fleet in Asia from its modest start in
1997 with two time-charter vessels to
today's fleet of 16 vessels. His wide
experience in operations of chemical
tankers has been a valuable asset in
building the activity in Singapore and
he has played an important role
towards time-charter owners, ship
managers as well as local authorities.
After a long period in South East Asia,
Per is looking forward to enjoying the
spring in Norway and to watch the fruit
blossom at close range in his native
Hardanger. We thank Per for his contribution
and wish him all the best on his
return to Norway.
On Per’s leaving, Dag
Eidsvåg will take
over the responsibility
as Operation
Manager and we
wish him success in
his new position.
