Debate Panel<br />
To speak on pharmaceutical patents and<br />
other barriers that Brazil still needs to<br />
overcome to really innovate in the area<br />
of pharmaceuticals and medications,<br />
<strong>INCT</strong>-INOFAR coordinator Prof.<br />
Eliezer J. Barreiro, was invited by the<br />
5th ENIFarMed to be part of the panel<br />
entitled “New Paths in Intellectual<br />
Property in the Pharmaceutical Sector”.<br />
Moderated by Luciene Amaral and<br />
Alexandre Lopes, both from the<br />
National Institute for Intellectual<br />
Property (INPI), the debate panel also<br />
had the presence of Eduardo Pedral<br />
Fiuza, from the Institute for Applied<br />
Economic Research (IPEA), and of<br />
Marcio Falci, Biolab research doctor.<br />

Exposition Fair<br />
With a goal of publicizing current<br />
projects in its drugs and medicines<br />
research network, as well as strategically<br />
connecting with the productive sector,<br />
<strong>INCT</strong>- INOFAR set up a stand on the<br />
3rd EXPOFARMED, a business fair<br />
associated with the 5 th ENIFarMed, as<br />
it had done in the previous year. This<br />
time, <strong>INCT</strong>-INOFAR presented the<br />
scientific know how of its research<br />
group and its actions on Scientific<br />
Awareness and Health Education.
