<strong>INCT</strong>-INOFAR at “365 Days of Chemistry”<br />
<strong>INCT</strong>-INOFAR chemists were interviewed on their careers for the “365 Days of Chemistry”<br />
project, published daily at the AIQ blog <br />

The interview was made up of 6 questions that were the same for every interviewee. In a<br />
question and answer format, the interviewee described how and when it all began; why<br />
he or she had chosen Chemistry as a profession; summarized his or her current and past<br />
activities; provided tips to new professionals and students of Chemistry; and talked about<br />
which Chemical discovery he or she wishes he or she could have achieved. At the end of the<br />
interview, a small summary of the curriculum vitae of each interviewee was presented. After<br />
that, the molecule of the day was presented.<br />
Among the <strong>INCT</strong>-INOFAR researchers honored by “365 Days of Chemistry” are Vanderlan da<br />
Silva Bolzani (member of the <strong>INCT</strong>-INOFAR Managing Committee); Vitor Francisco Ferreira<br />
(<strong>INCT</strong>-INOFAR consulting member and Vice-President of the Brazilian Chemistry Society);<br />
Lidia Moreira Lima (<strong>UFRJ</strong>) associate professor and in charge of <strong>INCT</strong>-INOFAR Scientific<br />
Superintendence), and Luiz Carlos Dias (member of the <strong>INCT</strong>-INOFAR Managing Committee<br />
and supervisor of the UNICAMP research group responsible for developing a new synthetic route<br />
for atorvastatin, the active principle of Lipitor®, the number one medication in sales worldwide).<br />
