STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
STRATEGIC PLANNING UPDATE – Dave Dill
Dave Dill presented the overview of strategic planning ad hoc meeting November 20 th in
Downey. He discussed the importance of SCMAF reviewing, revising and developing a
collective strategic plan.

SCMAF staff is tasked with developing an RFP to secure consulting services to assist in
the development of a Long Range Strategic Plan. The intent is to create a 'project'
based process by which SCMAF will produce a viable and comprehensive action
oriented strategic plan by the end of 2013. The consensus of the committee was to treat
this initiative as a 'capital project' with funding used from the reserves approved by the
full Board of Directors as early as April, 2013. Final selection of the consultant will be
based on a competitive bid process in an open forum as established by the Board of
Directors.
shows a loss of $24,609. Projected revenues are $641,077 and expenses are
