Action Theater Training
Through action workshop, participants learn about the
present moment, how to be here, unveiling themselves
to themselves, one moment at a time and one moment
leading to the next. Zaporah’s exercises which are
physical, vocal and verbal, invite the practitioner into
unknown yet uncannily familiar territories, territories of
the embodied imagination. By examining awareness,
play, relationship, stillness and silence, actions
become enlightened, become fresh. The capacity for
feeling is strengthened as are the roots and tools of
expression. This workshop is for the novice as well as
the experienced, all those who would like to move. No

Intensive Monotype
This intensive, in-depth, five-day course will cover the
history, techniques and reasons for making monotype
prints. Each all-day session will be divided between
demonstrations and supervised work time. Updated
methods for a wide variety of traditional techniques
will be presented along with new experimental
directions. The purpose of the class is not to produce
instant masterpieces, but rather for each student to
become familiar and comfortable with a wide variety
of monotype techniques. No refunds after July 24. To

A Safer, Greener Etching Method
Etching aluminum with copper sulfate is a safer, easier
and cheaper alternative to traditional copper and zinc
etching in acid. It even aquatints itself! Students will
learn to prepare the etching bath, ground their plates
with acrylic floor polish, transfer a drawing to the plate
and scribe their design through the ground. Aquatinting
methods will be demonstrated and practiced– no rosin,
no spraying, no nothing! No refunds after July 17. To
