Dog Training<br />

Bring your dog to school! In this six-week class, your<br />

dog will learn all the basic commands (sit, down, stay,<br />

come, etc.). In addition, you’ll get training solutions<br />

to concerns like house training, jumping up, digging,<br />

barking and pulling on the leash. We use positive,<br />

motivational training methods. Class is open to dogs<br />

and puppies, 12 weeks and older, who are current on<br />

their shots (parvo, distemper, rabies and bordatella).<br />

Fun and Games for Dogs and Their Owners<br />

This class is like summer camp for dogs! You’ll get<br />

practical training tips for teaching your dog more than<br />

20 different tricks, including wave, sit up, bow, jump<br />

through a hoop and weave through legs. Trick training<br />

can be just for fun, for performances, therapy visits or<br />

even to get a start on your pet’s movie career. You’ll<br />

also learn techniques to keep your dog motivated and<br />

having fun when you’re working on basic behaviors that<br />

all dogs should know, like sit, stay, come and walk on<br />

leash. The result Training that’s fun for both of you and<br />

a happier, better-behaved pet.<br />

Concealed Carry Training<br />

New Mexico allows residents to carry a concealed<br />

handgun with a state license. Applicants must be<br />

United States citizens, 21 or older, complete 15 hours<br />

of training and demonstrate the knowledge and<br />

skills required by law. Using NRA materials, certified<br />

instructors cover selection, ownership and operation of<br />

revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, safe gun handling<br />

and key elements of accurate pistol shooting. Serious<br />

attention is given to legal issues. The fee includes<br />

two handbooks and additional materials but not<br />

ammunition. You don’t need to own a gun; a selection<br />

of pistols will be available at the outdoor shooting<br />

sessions.<br />
