Stop Motion Animation (Ages 10 to 12) NEW!<br />

Disney to Warner Bros. to Aardman Studios, animation is hot! Make your own<br />

stop-motion animation movie. Learn how to write scripts, make characters out of<br />

clay and design sets. Create your own soundtrack using voice-overs, music and<br />

sound effects. Participants will film their story using iStop Motion software. Each<br />

animator will go home with a DVD of all the movies made during camp. Fran<br />

Introduction to Game Programming With Alice (Ages 7 to 12)<br />

Only a basic familiarity with computers is needed for this class on game<br />

programming. Students will be introduced to Alice, an interactive 3-Dprogramming<br />

environment from Carnegie Mellon University. Students learn to<br />

create animations and games using the latest version of the Alice software. Alice<br />

offers the best possible, first exposure to programming for students by providing<br />

an intuitive environment for teaching object-oriented programming. During this<br />

camp, students will learn common programming constructs, basic algorithm<br />

design and storyboarding of movies/games.<br />
