Guitar Intensive Workshop (Ages 8 to 13)<br />

Learn to play the guitar! Discover basic music and guitar theory, and learn a variety<br />

of songs. Bring your own guitar. Andrew Lovato has been teaching guitar to <strong>Santa</strong><br />

<strong>Fe</strong> youth for many years. Early registration is encouraged.<br />

This introduction to etiquette will teach children some tips that may be new even<br />

to their parents! Kids will learn the lost art of thank you notes and letter writing,<br />

telephone manners, posture, and how to speak in public with fewer “ums,” “likes”<br />

and “you knows” Dining skills, rules of introduction and more are covered in this<br />

fun and energetic class. Bizia Greene is the <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Fe</strong> etiquette expert and owner of<br />

the Etiquette School of <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Fe</strong>.<br />

and, of course, a ride. Romero’s Thunder, in Bernalillo, will introduce kids to the<br />

many aspects of caring for a horse, and follow up with an enjoyable Western<br />

horseback ride. This could be the start of a lifetime avocation.<br />

Cooking Fundamentals Camp (Ages 11 to 14)<br />

Learning to cook is an important skill for kids who want to be independent.<br />

The chefs from the SFCC Culinary Arts Institute will focus on fun and safety<br />

in the kitchen. Kids will learn a variety of recipes each day, while learning the<br />

fundamentals of food preparation. The best part is that students get to eat what<br />

they have made! Whether you want to be a chef someday or just able to impress<br />

family and friends, this is our most delicious summer camp offering.<br />
