STANDARD<br />
<strong>LMC</strong>'s <strong>RK</strong> <strong>safety</strong> <strong>clamps</strong> are manufactured in compliance with EN 14420-3 /<br />
DIN 2817, and are used to assemble EN/DIN standardized hoses. Threaded-,<br />
quick- and flange couplings with a smooth hose shank complying with<br />
EN 14420-2 / DIN 2817 are assembled with <strong>RK</strong> <strong>safety</strong> <strong>clamps</strong>.<br />
OPERATION<br />
For <strong>safety</strong> reasons <strong>RK</strong> <strong>safety</strong> <strong>clamps</strong> should be used for larger hose diameters.<br />
<strong>RK</strong> <strong>safety</strong> <strong>clamps</strong> have a rim on the inside, which fits over the hose shank collar<br />
when the bolts are tightened. When <strong>RK</strong> <strong>safety</strong> <strong>clamps</strong> are assembled<br />
correctly, the coupling cannot be pulled out of the hose. <strong>RK</strong> <strong>safety</strong> <strong>clamps</strong><br />
can be tightened during assembly when needed.<br />
When a hose is withdrawn from service for any reason, the <strong>LMC</strong>-<strong>Couplings</strong><br />
shells and couplings can be easily dismantled for reuse.<br />

APPLICATION<br />
Assembly of the rubber hoses used in food, pharmaceutical and transport<br />
industry applications.<br />
Aluminium <strong>RK</strong> <strong>clamps</strong> are used in many applications, whilst brass <strong>RK</strong> <strong>clamps</strong><br />
are used in loading and unloading terminals to prevent the risk of sparking.<br />
Stainless steel <strong>RK</strong> <strong>clamps</strong> are often used in clean working environments.<br />
