16th European Championship of American Quarter Horses 

in Kreuth. Q5Daily informs about the event. 

***** On Thursday, Europe’s most important AQHA 

show will start bin Kreuth: the 16th European Championship 

of American Quarter Horses. Until August 28, 

the best American Quarter Horses of Europe will fight 

for the renowned titles. There will be more than 700 

horse-rider-combinations from Germany, Switzerland, 

France, Luxemburg, Great Britain, Belgium, the 

Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Israel, the 

Czech Republic, Italy, Austria, Poland and Hungary. 

Classes are well filled: There are more than 30 competitors 

in the Junior and Senior Reining each, 33 in 

Senior Trail, 18 in Junior Hunter under Saddle and 24 

in Junior Pleasure. Amateur and Youth classes are 

equally large. E.g. there are 50 competitors so far in 

Amateur reining, 20 in Trail, Showmanship and Pleasure 

each. In Youth Western Pleasure there are 25 

competitors. Starter lists and more infos plus plan of

Like the year before, we will report of Europe’s premier 

AQHA show in our daily newsletter Q5Daily. 

DQHA members will receive this newsletter via their 

email. It will also be published on the EC website and

DQHA Futurity / Maturity 

***** The DQHA Futurity is again part of the EC. DQHA’s 

main event offers more than EUR 85 000,-- in the 

various disciplines. The event starts on Saturday morning 

with the halter shows.

It’s Party Time 

***** The traditional SSA-reception for the stallion 

owners is scheduled for Saturday, August 20, at 11 a.m. 

in the Ostbayernhalle. 

Also on Saturday, there will the DQHA Breeders party 

for all members after the Champion of Champions 

honours. 

More than 20 stallions in the stallion test 

***** 24 stallions are nominated so far for the DQHA 

stallion test which is scheduled for Saturday, August 

20 in the ‚Veranstaltungshalle’. The test starts at 8.30 

a.m. 

NRHA Lawson Bronze Trophy 

***** The last classes of the first Saturday and Sunday 

will be the NRHA Bronze Trophy in Non Pro and Open. 

So far, relatively few horses have been nominated, but 

that may still change. 

EC: The NSBA main event 

***** For years, NSBA Germany has been organizing 

their Futurity together with the DQHA Futurity/ Maturity. 

This year, the Longe Line and the Pleasure Futurity 

will be on Saturday, August 20, the Hunter under 

Saddle on Sunday, August 21. The starter lists are quite 

impressive. Just look at the 15 horses nominated for 

the Western Pleasure with last year’s Futurity Champion

***** On August 7, 2005 there was the last go round for 

the NF Coming 6, the final being during the German 

Open in Bad Salzuflen. The winner was again WHO IS 

MY DADDY with Jürgen Pieper in the saddle – in fact, 

they won this event for the third time and are leading 

the ranking right now. George Maschalani and THE 

ROLLING BOSS placed second, Alexander Ripper and 

OTOES BOY SCOUT third.

Premier for NRHA DERBY in Sweden Open competition for 4, 5 and 6 

year old horses. September 9-11, 2005, Grevagården, Skövde 

***** In addition to the NRHA Derby, SRHA will be 

awarding no less than 3 Lawson Bronze Trophies, 1 

Morrison Bronze Trophy, several plaques, plus a cash 

award of around 100,000 SEK to competitors during 

the weekend. Also, B.I.F. is arranging the yearly Futurity 

with competitions in both Western Pleasure and 

Reining for 3 and 4 year old offspring of nominated 

stallions. There will also be a double AQHA Show in 

which the AQHA All Around Bronze Horse will be 

awarded in all three categories: Open, Amateur and 

Youth. 

NRHA Derby 

For the first time ever an NRHA Reining Derby for 4, 5 

and 6 year old horses is being arranged. It is SRHA 

(Scandinavian Reining Horse Association) who is opening 

the doors for the NRHA Derby at Grevagården in 

Skövde during its big competition from the 9-11th of 

September. What is special about this NRHA Derby is 

that it is open for all horses of the right age, and requires 

no nomination. For example, there has been no 

money paid by the stallion owner to nominate his stallion_s 

offspring. Anyone with a 4, 5 or 6 year old horse 

may participate. This makes it more interesting for 

all European riders to come here to compete, 

Monica Widh says. In addition there is a good deal of 

prize money in the different classes, as well as a Lawson 

Bronze Trophy, a Morrison Bronze Trophy, and a 

plaque. The Lawson Bronze Trophy is the most attractive, 

and is every reining riders dream. In the Derby 

competition it will be allowed to ride with either a 

snaffle bit or a shank bit, which differs from NRHA_s 

other classes. The reason for this is to adopt SvRf_s

towards competing on younger horses. 

The NRHA Derby will have a first-go qualification 

and a final. The first-go will be on Friday night and the 

final on Sunday afternoon. Clearly every SRHA/NRHA 

class a reining rider can wish for can be found at this 

competition. NRHA Open with 15,500 SEK added, and 

a Lawson Bronze Trophy, NRHA Non Pro, also with a 

Lawson and 15,500 SEK added. There will be an SRHA 

Ladies class, NRHA/SRHA Snafflebit/Hackamore, Rookie, 

and of 

course Youth classes too. 

Double AQHA Show 

September Rundown also includes an AQHA Double 

show. That means that these classes will be scored by 

2 different judges, which results in double prize ribbons 

and double points for those riders who place. In 

the AQHA classes there will even be an All Around 

Bronze Horse awarded to the best All Around rider in 

Open, Amateur and Youth. This is a premier for this 

award in Sweden, and the B.I.F. organizers are very 

pleased to have the opportunity 

to present this award to the best All Around equipage. 

In order create a show atmosphere at the competition 

this year there will be an invitational Freestyle with 

secret riders. This is a reining competition with points 

also awarded for costume and choice of music. 

Breeders Invitational Futurity (B.I.F.) 

During the weekend there will also be a competition 

for 3 and 4 year old B.I.F. nominated stallions. This is 

a Futurity which is open for horses of all breeds competing 

in Western Pleasure and Reining. To be eligible 

to participate, the Sire of your horse’s fee must be 

paid, giving the offspring the right to participate. The 

2005 -3 year old offspring after: Lena Cielo, Bad Like 

I Wanna Be, QTS High Priority, RTR Winnin Chex, and 

Ima Prime Time are welcome to compete. And 4 year 

old offspring after: Lena Cielo, Victim Rocket, Little 

Jacki Favor, Ima Prime Time, CC Top Whiz, QTS High 

Priority. Here, one competes in two rides in one or 

both disciplines, and the results are added together to 

select the year_s winner. Even here there is a good 

deal of prize money, namely 35,000 SEK, which will be 

divided among the competitors.

ERCHA Futurity in Manerbio offers EUR 15 000.-- 

The ERCHA Futurity to be held in the very new and 

functional facility "Palasturla"in Manerbio - Brescia- 

Italy offers a purse of EUR 15 000,-- now. The entry 

fees are very reasonable, however: For example ,the 

entry fee for the Futurity Open is only EUR 200,--

Ovator PegaPlus Foal Show in Buch-Rennertshofen 

***** Last week-end there was the first 2005 Ovator 

PegaPlus foal presentation in Buch Rennertshofen. Ten 

fillies and eleven colts were presented, none of them 

receiving less than an average 7.0 score. The champion 

foal was a filly by Pines Dun It out of Salina Hollywood, 

owned by Richard and Sabine Brumme. The filly 

got a superb 8.35! Three colts placed second scoring 

an 8.10: a colt by Elite Eldorado out of Miss Ace Star, 

owned by Martina Baur, a colt by Friscote out of Miss 

No Moreno, owned by Peter Spengler and a colt by 

Pines Dun It out of Jacs Cody Prise, owned by Nadine 

Ziegelmeier
