Error log<br />

▼When an error message appears<br />

Each time an error or warning occurs in the devise, it is displayed on the<br />

Control Panel and also the error log information is saved in the internal<br />

memory.<br />

The error log information saved in the internal memory includes<br />

additionally the time when an error occurred, and therefore you can<br />

confirm the error log using the “ERROR PRINT” on the function menu.<br />

This error log information is saved even after the power was turned off.<br />

Classification of Error/Warning<br />

The type of error/warning is classified as follows:<br />

(1) Classification: E (Service Call)<br />

An unrecoverable error that needs the service person's<br />

intervention.<br />

(2) Classification: O (Operator Call)<br />

An error that the operator can take actions to fix.<br />

(3) Classification: W (Warning)<br />

A warning, such as being low on consumables, or that<br />

a data error occurred.<br />

Chapter 14 Troubleshooting<br />

Format of Message<br />

Each error/warning message to be logged if an error or warning occurs<br />

classifies one character (+ space) at the top of the message as the error/<br />

warning identifier.<br />

The log message is composed of alphanumerics and thus it does not<br />

necessarily match the message displayed on the Control Panel.<br />

The error/warning message registered as log information is prepared in<br />

the format mentioned below.<br />
