Newly elected<br />
Grand Master of the<br />
Dutch Grand Lodge.<br />
Following the recent retirement from office of Grand Master Irene Beusecamp<br />
on the occasion of the <strong>AMORC</strong> World Convention in Berlin, <strong>Klaas</strong>-<strong>Jan</strong> Bakker<br />
was elected to the office of Grand Master of the Dutch Grand Lodge in early<br />
October 2007 by the full board of the Supreme Grand Lodge of <strong>AMORC</strong>.<br />
Born at Alkmaar on 10 th November 1953, <strong>Klaas</strong> joined the Rosicrucian Order<br />
in 1972 and has been Secretary of the <strong>AMORC</strong> Foundation since 1992.<br />
Having studied law at Leiden University, he is today an international legal<br />
adviser and mediator. He is married, the father of four sons and the proud<br />
grandfather of two grandchildren.<br />
His hobbies are reading, classical music and the occasional marathon.<br />
