Although DSB noise figure measurements<br />
provide an average noise figure at LO +/-<br />
IF, it was felt that with all the low frequency<br />
gain of the WA1MBA amplifier that some<br />
sort of filtering was required to keep from<br />
saturating the mixer. This was accidentally<br />
verified on the bench when the LO was<br />
inadvertently turned off and I was still able<br />
to make a noise figure measurement!<br />
