The invention relates to a microbial composition used in the organic<br />

agriculture practice and to a process for preparing the mentioned<br />

composition. According to the invention, the product is represented<br />

by a microbial composition based on antagonistic viable microorganisms<br />

immobilized in bio-polymeric matrices, consisting of<br />

10...15 parts of pre-jellified bio-polymeric matrix, 0.5...3 parts of<br />

concentrated aqueous suspension of viable microbial cells, 1...5 parts<br />

of emulsifier, 0.1...0.5 parts of milk powder as stabilizer, nutritive<br />

and antioxidant supplement, the parts being expressed by weight.<br />

According to the invention, the process consists of three main stages<br />

of processing the bio-materials, namely: hydrothermal prejellification<br />

of bio-polymers, at temperatures ranging between<br />

80...100°C, the emulsification of the useful aqueous micro-organism<br />

suspension and the determination of the suspension-emulsion by jellimmobilization,<br />

with the maintenance of the comfort parameters of<br />

the viable cell: the temperature ranging between 25...60°C, pH<br />

ranging between 6.8...7.5. The product of the invention can be<br />

formulated as a gel, paste, wetable powder, granules, pellets or can<br />

be used as inoculum on lignocellulosic absorbent substrates for the<br />

manufacture of repressive mulch needed for nutrition and protection<br />

cr<strong>op</strong>s in conservation farming system. This invention has the<br />

advantage of achieving a bioactive microbial composition intended<br />

as controlled release system of active ingredients antagonistic<br />

microbial for cr<strong>op</strong> diseases and pests, using non-toxic, biodegradable,<br />

accessible and inexpensive raw biomaterials from renewable natural<br />

resources.<br />
