Synthesis of new azaheterocyclic compounds using ecofriendly<br />

Ultrasound (US) irradiation, during the last decades, has<br />

became an increasingly valuable tool in organic chemistry,<br />

since it is a versatile and facile technique applicable to a<br />

large variety of syntheses. In particular, for the chemistry of<br />

nitrogen heterocycles, literature data indicates that Huisgen<br />

[3+2] dipolar cycloaddition has been done under ultrasound<br />

irradiation in the class of nitrogen ylides, except for the<br />

cycloimmonium ylides, our group being the first one<br />

investigating this aspect.<br />

We desired to obtained new azaheterocyclic compounds,<br />

using eco-friendly synthesis. In this order we synthesized<br />

new azaheterocyclic compounds with acet<strong>op</strong>henonic chain,<br />

using a general and straightforward strategy (quaternization<br />

and cycloaddition reactions) under classical conditions and<br />

nonconventional methods (ultrasounds irradiation).<br />

Ultrasound assisted reactions were carried out using two<br />

different reactors: Sonics (Sonics VCX-130, USA), with a<br />

nominal power of 130W and Bandelin (Son<strong>op</strong>uls GM 3200),<br />

with a nominal power of 200W.<br />

The structure of compounds was proved by elemental and<br />

spectral analysis [IR, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, 2D-COSY, 2D-<br />

HETCOR (HMQC), long range 2D-HETCOR (HMBC)].<br />

A comparative study classical vs US was done.<br />
