The patent’s subject refers to the processing of a<br />
biocomposite material based on hydroxyapatite matrix<br />
reinforced by titanium particles by a flexible and cost saving<br />
route of powder metallurgy technology. The provided<br />
advantages concern some mechanical and technological<br />
pr<strong>op</strong>erties such as: density 1,9…2,5 g/cm 3 , porosity 5…12%,<br />
friction coefficient 0,5…0,7; wear rate 0,9…1,8 x 10 -4<br />
mm 3 /Nm. These pr<strong>op</strong>erties are at least comparable with the<br />
same for similar biocomposites that are processed by<br />
complex and expensive technologies.<br />
