GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS<br />
GENERAL<br />
1.1 The terms, conditions and specificattons<br />
contained in these bid documents shall be<br />
considered the minimum standard acceptable<br />
to the Humboldt County Road Department.<br />
Any deviations, modifications or alternates<br />
proposed hereto shall be specific and clarified<br />
by the bidder <strong>us</strong>ing the EXCEPT|ON<br />
SUMMARY form attached hereto.<br />
1.2 As <strong>us</strong>ed in this cla<strong>us</strong>e, the term "brand name,'<br />
includes identification of products by make and<br />
model. ltems called for by this bid document<br />
have been identified by a "brand name" or<br />
equal, such identification is intended to oe<br />
descriptive but not restrictive, and is to indicate<br />
the quality and characteristics of the product(s)<br />
that will be acceptable to the Humboldt County<br />
Road Department.<br />
1.3 Only new equipmenUmaterials/accessories<br />
shall be proposed under this bid. <strong>Bid</strong>ding of<br />
demonstrator, <strong>us</strong>ed equipment / materials /<br />
accessorieshall be specifically prohibited.<br />
1.4 EquipmenVmaterials/accessories shall be of<br />
current design and manufacture. EquipmenV<br />
materials/accessories furnished bv the bidder<br />
having serio<strong>us</strong> defects, corrosion, or scratcnes<br />
which tend to present an "other than new,'<br />
appearance shall be prompfly replaced or such<br />
defects promptly corrected by the bidder at no<br />
cost to the Humboldt County Road<br />
Department, or its joiners. Should the<br />
Humboldt County Road Department recetve<br />
any product(s) and/or material(s) not<br />
conforming to the requiremenls of these bid<br />
documents, they shall be returned and<br />
replaced at the bidder's expense.<br />
1.5 All equipmenVmaterials/accessories/services<br />
proposed and furnished m<strong>us</strong>t comply with the<br />
most current OSHA, NOSHA, EpA, federal,<br />
state and local laws, regulations, ordinances<br />
and/or statutes applicable thereto.<br />
1.6 Invitations to bid which specifically specify<br />
"USED" equipment, materials andlor<br />
accessories will be excluded from the foregoing<br />
provisions of Sections 1.3 - 1.5.<br />
1.7 The evaluation of bids and the determination<br />
as to the quality of the product(s) or services<br />
offered shall be the responsibility of the<br />
Humboldt County Road Department and will be<br />
based on information furnished bv the bidder in<br />
his/her proposal, as well as other information<br />
reasonably available.<br />
PREPARATION OF BIDS<br />
2.1 <strong>Bid</strong>s shall be submitted on forms attached<br />
hereto and made an integral part hereof and<br />
presented according to the instructions for<br />
SUBMISSION OF BIDS.<br />
2.2 <strong>Bid</strong>ders are expected to examine these<br />
documents carefully. Failure to do so will be at<br />
the bidder's risk.<br />
2.3 <strong>Bid</strong>ders are urged to proofread their bids<br />
carefully for any errors.<br />
2.4 Any irregularities or lack of clarity in any of the<br />
bid documents should be brought to the<br />
attention of the Humboldt County Road<br />
Department as soon as possible so that<br />
corrective addenda may be furnished to all<br />
bidders.<br />
2.5 Alterations or erasures shall be crossed our<br />
and the corrections thereof printed in inx or<br />
typewritten adjacent thereto. Any corrections<br />
m<strong>us</strong>t be initialed, in ink, by each person<br />
signing the bid.<br />
2.6 In the case of a dlfference between written<br />
words and figures, the amount stated in written<br />
words shall govern.<br />
2.7 In the case of a difference between a unit orice<br />
and the extended price, the unit price shall<br />
govern.<br />
SUBMISSION OF BIDS<br />
3.1 All bid documents (this bid packet in<br />
itS entifety) and addenda thereto shail be<br />
Intact and enclosed in a sealed envelope<br />
addressed to the Humboldt County Clerk's<br />
Office, Courtho<strong>us</strong>e Room 207. 50 West Fifth<br />
Street, Winnemucca, Nevada 89445<br />
3.2 Afl bids m<strong>us</strong>t be SEALED and clearly marked<br />
as specified on the INVITATION TO BtD<br />
attached hereto.<br />
3.3 All bids received after the date and time set for<br />
receipt will be REJECTED.<br />
3.4 <strong>Bid</strong>s may be modified by written notice,<br />
provided such notice is received prior to the<br />
date and time set for receipt of bids.
