weighted-average value of the coherence between the range of frequencies fl and 12.
This value was calculated according to equation 3.85 discussed in section 3.10 before
and would be used as a parameter in the system identification analysis.
4.2.5 Coherence and Weighted Coherence Analysis of HR and Blood pressure
This analysis is similar to the coherence analysis of heart rate and respiration just
described above with the exception that the blood pressure IIBI (detected and corrected
the same way as the blood pressure spectral analysis) was used instead of the raw
respiration signal. The heart rate IIBIs and the blood pressure IIBIs were input into the
coherenc.vi to create the coherence plot and the weighted coherence value in the same
fashion as the coherence and weighted coherence analysis of heart rate and respiration.
4.2.6 Partial Coherence
This analysis was similar to the coherence analysis. The heart rate IIBIs, the blood
pressure IIBIs and the respiration signal were inputted into the pcoherenc.vi to create the
partial coherence plots and the weighted coherence values in the same fashion as the
coherence and weighted coherence analysis but using the equations 3.86 - 3.91 described
in section 3.11 and 3.12.
