Transfer Guide For St. Charles Community College Students
THE EDWARD AND MARGARET DOISY SCHOOL OF ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONS
Radiation Therapy
This articulation agreement is designed to assist students in choosing their courses at
St. Charles Community College that will fulfill the core requirements for a bachelor’s
degree in Radiation Therapy at Saint Louis University. It is not a comprehensive list of all
courses at St. Charles Community College that transfer to the Doisy School of Allied
Health Professions, nor is it a list of courses that must be completed before enrolling at
Saint Louis University. Courses not listed in this articulation agreement may transfer to
Saint Louis University as elective credit or credit for the major, depending on the
appropriateness of the particular courses. As a general policy, transfer credit will be
awarded for college-level academic course work in which a grade of "C" or better is
earned. For example, no credit is granted for courses in physical education
(performance-based), developmental or technical areas.
A maximum of 64 semester hours earned at the community college can be applied
towards the bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy. All course work will be evaluated
on a course-by-course basis for transfer credit regardless if an associate's degree has
been earned.
The Radiation Therapy program is a four-year curriculum that includes three years of
general studies and one year of major course work at Saint Louis University Health
Sciences Center. During the senior year at Saint Louis University, students spend their
clinical practicum time at several clinical affiliate sites. Graduates of the program are
eligible to sit for the national registry exam in Radiation Therapy.
