PREFACE<br />

This is the second revised Inventory of Hazardous Waste generating industries in U.P. As on April 2010, which is being published<br />

after the last inventory published in Year 2007. It is the combined effort of all the field staff of different Regional Offices and the<br />

Hazardous Waste Cell for Hazardous Waste at Head office.<br />

Under the guidance & efforts of our Chairman Sri A.K. Misra the <strong>Board</strong> has achieved the distinction of having maximum no. of<br />

TSDFs and Hazardous waste Incinerators in whole of North India apart from this latest Inventory. Presently three TSDF are in operational<br />

one at Banthar Unnao(SLF capacity 3.1 lac MT ), one at 7 hectares of land provided by <strong>Board</strong> at Kumbhi, Kahanpur Dehat (M/s U.P.<br />

Waste Management, present SLF capacity 3.5 lac MT ) and other at 3 hectares of land provided by <strong>Board</strong> (M/s Bharat Oil Waste<br />

Management Ltd., SLF Capacity 1.5 lac MT and Incinerator of 200 Kg/hr capacity), besides one SLF already filled at Rooma Kanpur.<br />

Apart from above there are 20 captive Incinerator in different Industries & 02 Common Incinerator. Thus the above TSDF & incinerators<br />

are catering the need of annual generated Hazardous Waste of Landfillable waste 35343 MT/Annum and Incinerable Waste 18124<br />

MT/Annum the rest 105926 MT/Annum is being Recyclable or Reprocessed. Large numbers of industries have taken the membership of<br />

above TSDFs and Incinerator and sending their waste to these TSDFs.<br />

This revised and updated Inventory required by MOEF/CPCB will be helpful in monitoring the generation of Hazardous Waste its<br />

planning for disposal as well as for G.I.S. mapping by NIC New Delhi.<br />

The same will also be put in our website www.uppcb.com for the easy access, as has been done in the past with year 2007<br />

inventory.<br />
