2 Assumptions I assume throughout that postmodernity is a real, contemporary, primarily Western cultural dynamic, that requires thorough consideration. I further assume that as an anthropocentric cultural dynamic, postmodernity requires a Christian response. I assume throughout, the authority, and validity of the Holy Bible, and the historic person of Jesus Christ as given in Scripture. I use the New King James Version of the Bible throughout, simply because I am most familiar with it. Portions of this project are a Christian apologetic (i.e., defence). For this, I have no regrets, for “ I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile” (Rom. 1:16).
