4.7 Course Outlines<br />

The course outlines for all core courses in the <strong>Bachelor</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Commerce</strong> (<strong>Digital</strong> <strong>Marketing</strong>) program<br />

are attached as Appendix C.<br />

4.8 Bridging Course Descriptions<br />

Students transferring into the <strong>Bachelor</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Commerce</strong> (<strong>Digital</strong> <strong>Marketing</strong>) program will enter the<br />

program on a degree completion basis, with no bridging courses anticipated. The specific<br />

mechanism for student transfer and advanced standing are described in Section 3.<br />

4.9 Bridging Course Outlines<br />

None required.<br />

4.10 Gap Analysis<br />

The gap analysis is complete for applicants who will transfer from the following different diploma<br />

programs, using the Ontario CAAT Program Standards for:<br />

2‐year Business – <strong>Marketing</strong> diploma program (MTCU Code 52900)<br />

3‐year Business Administration – <strong>Marketing</strong> advanced diploma program (MTCU Code<br />

62900)<br />

2‐year (General) Business diploma program (MTCU Code 50200)<br />

3‐year Business Administration advanced diploma program (MTCU Code 60200)<br />

This analysis covers most likely transfer scenarios; applicants presenting with other business<br />

diploma backgrounds will be assessed according to the gaps for 2‐year business and 3‐year business<br />

administration programs and some modifications awarded depending on their program <strong>of</strong> origin.<br />

4.10.1 Gap Analysis – B.Comm (<strong>Digital</strong> <strong>Marketing</strong>) Degree vs. Business – <strong>Marketing</strong> Diploma<br />

Applicants to transfer into the <strong>Bachelor</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Commerce</strong> (<strong>Digital</strong> <strong>Marketing</strong>) program after having<br />

completed a 2‐year Business – <strong>Marketing</strong> program will have some foundational business and<br />

marketing skills. They will enter the program at Level 4, having received credit for three<br />

semesters, and will have ample time to complete the remaining degree‐level commerce and<br />

breadth courses as needed.<br />
