Support strategic growth in current and new markets, both domestic<br />

‣ The College is launching a virtual School <strong>of</strong> Graduate and Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

Studies that will be a single point <strong>of</strong> access for existing and prospective<br />

students seeking access to a graduate certificate program, a Fast-track<br />

program or a program that leads to a pr<strong>of</strong>essional certification.<br />

‣ A new 3-year marketing plan will include more marketing to direct students, a<br />

significant increase in high-yield on-campus recruitment activities, tailored<br />

marketing to post-graduate and lifelong learners, and marketing <strong>of</strong> Fanshawe<br />

degrees.<br />

‣ A new conversion program is resulting in increased conversions early in the<br />

recruitment and admissions process.<br />

‣ The International Centre is developing initiatives to expand its recruitment<br />

reach to new markets in Nigeria and Russia.<br />

Engage the support <strong>of</strong> community partners and patrons<br />

‣ A new multi-year community campaign will secure major capital contributions<br />

in support <strong>of</strong> the new School <strong>of</strong> Applied and Performance Arts as well as<br />

other key funding priorities <strong>of</strong> the College.<br />

‣ The Fanshawe College Alumni Association will seek to further engage its<br />

more than 143,000 alumni through the launch <strong>of</strong> a new branding campaign.<br />

‣ The College will increase efforts to engage employers and continue to<br />

steward and expand industry and community partnerships.<br />

‣ Efforts will continue aimed at partnering with organizations and institutions to<br />

benefit and improve community conditions.<br />

‣ The high rate <strong>of</strong> unemployment in our<br />

communities will continue to present challenges<br />

for the College to support unemployed workers<br />

seeking new careers and retraining.<br />

‣ Industry partnerships provide support and<br />

essential resources to the College. The fragility<br />

<strong>of</strong> the economy may make it difficult to raise<br />

money and increase or even sustain training<br />

contracts with industry.<br />

‣ To fund the Ontario Tuition Grant (OTG) the<br />

Ontario Trust for Student Support and the Queen<br />

Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship will<br />

be eliminated.<br />
