Employers who responded to this question suggest that shortages in HR occupations are relatively<br />

The occupation most frequently perceived as being in undersupply was Labour Relations<br />

Representative, by about three‐quarters <strong>of</strong> employer respondents, followed by Compensation Analyst<br />

(Figure 12). Three out <strong>of</strong> five employers reported current shortages for Health & Safety Specialist,<br />

Benefits Administrator and HR Training Coordinator, and just more than half described shortages for<br />

Recruiters and HR Generalist. The occupations most <strong>of</strong>ten considered to have critical shortages were<br />

Health & Safety Specialist (rated 4 or 5 by more than one‐quarter <strong>of</strong> respondents) and Labour Relations<br />

Representative (rated 4 or 5 by just less than one‐quarter <strong>of</strong> respondents).<br />

In open‐ended responses about other shortages experienced by Employers, significant difficulties were<br />

mentioned filling the following positions: Senior HR Generalist, Research & Development Manager,<br />

Environmental Health & Safety, Human Capital Specialist, and Governance (Table 13).<br />
