HR Management Specializations with the Most Appeal<br />

The following six specializations are considered for the <strong>Marketing</strong> degree program:<br />

HR – Training specialization<br />

HR – Labour Relations<br />

HR – Recruitment and Selection<br />

HR – Occupational Health and Safety<br />

The specializations with the most appeal among Current Students were Human Resources – Recruitment<br />

and Selection and Human Resources – Training specialization. Among Prospective Students, the<br />

specializations that hold the greatest interest are HR – Recruitment and Selection, with Organizational<br />

Behavioural Psychology and Occupational Health and Safety following closely.<br />

Most Employer respondents <strong>of</strong>fered opinions on human resource specializations, and rated eight out <strong>of</strong><br />

nine specializations very high in importance. Recruitment & Retention was rated higher than any other<br />

specialization across the four business areas. Specialized skills in Training & Development and<br />

Occupational Health & Safety were also considered to be very valuable to employers. These top three<br />

specializations were considered more than somewhat important by approximately 60% <strong>of</strong> employers.<br />
