In the first two years of the program, the curriculum will focus on giving the student a solid business foundation through an inter‐disciplinary mix of courses in marketing, accounting, economics, organizational behaviour, and management fundamentals. The latter two years will be focused on developing marketing competency through a combination of “strategic” marketing courses combined with hands‐on skill development in digital marketing. Potential employers will span all industries, from small to large organizations, in both private and public sectors. Graduates will assist organizations in leveraging the exciting opportunities now available through online and other avenues for engaging customers and developing business relationships. Graduates from the Digital Marketing program may choose from many exciting careers in the areas of digital marketing, general marketing, direct marketing, communications, product marketing, customer relationship management, market analysis, search engine marketing/optimization, web analytics, or their own entrepreneurial pursuits. The program will be accredited by the Canadian Institute of Marketing and will be closely aligned with Google’s professional certification programs. Bachelor of Commerce (Digital Marketing) 1
