73 Spreadsheet Server for use with BPCS - Release V12 R4 M11 3. Use the following table to enter data on the Control Panel. Field Account String Account Segments Datagroup (Version 4.05) Ledger (Version 6+) Book (Version 6+) Year (Version 6+) Stat Format Period Key 3 Balances from GL (Local Mode) Period 00 - 15 GSV: (Version 6+) Segment Value Segment Name Description Specify the account(s) for which to display balances. Manually type the account string in the field, or use the account segment fields below. When entering account selection criteria ranges, wildcards, and/or segment lists may be used. Specify the various portions of the account string. The values entered populate the Account String field. When entering criteria ranges, wildcards, and/or segment lists may be used. Note: The segments available are based upon the Ledger Type and Chart being used. Identify the data type. Valid options are CURRENT, PRIOR, FUTURE, BUDGETA, BUDGETB, and CBnn (where nn is the budget number). Specify the CEA ledger. Specify the CEA book. Specify the year from which to retrieve balances. Enter Y or N to indicate whether or not to display statistical balances. Specify the format option for which to retrieve account balances (i.e. PER, QTR, YTD, LTD). Specify the period for which to display the account balance in the GXL Result box. If applicable, enter "Library=XXXX" where XXXX is the name of an alternate library from which to retrieve the data. Note: Other Key 3 parameters used in the GXL formula may also be entered here (i.e. Stat=Y). Separate the parameters by a semi-colon. Parameters keyed here override values entered in individual fields. Select the check box to indicate to retrieve balances on the Control Panel and within Spreadsheet Server from the local .mdb database file instead of the host system. Displays the calculated balance by period for the account or accounts selected in the filter. Specify the segment value to use for retrieving the account description. Specify the segment name to use for retrieving the account description. Value may be selected from the drop down list. 4. To display balances for the selected account(s), click the GXL button. The balances are displayed in the Period 00 to 15 fields, and the total for the selected period is displayed in the GXL Result box. Note: The Control Panel uses the same caching process as the Excel portion of Spreadsheet Server. After an account string is queried, the string and balance are stored in cached memory. Any subsequent calculations will use the records in memory. To ensure the latest balances, user the clear cache process prior to rerunning the GXL. Refer to Control Panel - Cache Options for more information. Note: Upon calculation, at the bottom of the Control Panel, the system will blink which mode is being used to retrieve the balances (i.e. Cache = cached memory, Host = live connection, or Local = local connection).
Review Account Master 74 5. To display the account description for a selected account, click the GXD button. A popup panel appears displaying the description. Note: This feature does not function for account ranges, wildcards, or segment lists. 6. To display the segment description for a selected account, click the GSV button. A popup panel appears displaying the description. Note: This feature does not function for account ranges, wildcards, or segment lists. 7. To view account balances, click the corresponding Drill button. The system displays the DrillDown - Detailed Account Balances panel.
