4.4 GSV Formula <strong>for</strong> Account Segment Descriptions<br />
Use the GSV <strong>for</strong>mula to retrieve a segment description <strong>for</strong> any segment <strong>with</strong>in the account string.<br />
Note: The GSV <strong>for</strong>mula applies only to Version 6+.<br />
Syntax - Version 6+:<br />
=GSV("Segment Value","Segment Name")<br />
Note: It is most common to <strong>use</strong> cell references <strong>with</strong>in GSV <strong>for</strong>mulas to identify parameters.<br />
Parameters:<br />
Segment Name<br />
The segment name represents the exact name of the segment <strong>with</strong>in CEA.<br />
Formula Example:<br />
=GSV("540","DEPT")<br />
Retrieves the segment description <strong>for</strong> DEPT 540.
