Both bacterial <strong>and</strong> protozoan parasites are<br />

wide spread around the world <strong>and</strong> more so in<br />

the tropical region causing an impediment in the<br />

health <strong>of</strong> humans <strong>and</strong> livestock. In the recent<br />

years, there is an upsurge in the biotechnological<br />

<strong>and</strong> in silico approaches to identify the possible<br />

pathogen-directed targets (5, 6). Interestingly, the<br />

biochemical mechanisms such as cell membrane<br />

receptors, metabolic pathways, cellular protein<br />

synthetic machinery <strong>and</strong> growth <strong>and</strong><br />
