The Gujarat Institute of Desert Ecology, Bhuj, has prepared this First Annual Technical
Report on the “Ecorestoration of Banni grassland” under the guidance of the Chairman and
other Officials of the Gujarat Ecology Commission, Vadodara.
We are grateful to the officials of the Animal Husbandry Department of the Gujarat Government
for the entire study support.
The present study has been made possible through the valuable help and co-operation of
officials from Vivekananda Research and Training Institute - Mandvi, Banni Development
Agency - Bhuj, Gujarat State Forest Development Corporation - Bhuj and local Banni
villagers from Dhordo and Bhirandiyara.
