ZEHİRLİ BOYA
Zehirli boya, tekne gövdesini kekamoz vb. deniz canlılarının oluşumuna karşı korur, böylece yakıt tasarrufu sağlar ve hız kaybını
önler. Birden çok kat uygulanması tavsiye edilir, hatta ilk ve ikinci katlar farklı renklerde uygulanırsa, teknemizi bir sonraki sefer karaya
çektiğimizde, zehirli boyamızın ne kadarının eridiğini gözle görebilir, ihtiyacımızı buna göre belirleyebiliriz.
Teknemize uygun zehirli boya seçiminde yüzdüğü sular, hızı, hangi sıklıkla kullanıldığı vs. gibi parametreler göz önünde
bulundurulmalıdır. Temelde, içerdiği bakır oksit miktarına göre, sert ve yumuşak olmak üzere iki çeşit zehirli boya vardır. Yüksek
hızlı tekneler, yoğunluğu fazla olan sert zehirli boyaları (Tropikote) tercih ederken, diğerleri için yumuşak zehirli boya (Cukote)
önerilmektedir. Ayrıca çevreye duyarlı metal içermeyen zehirli boyalar da günümüz teknolojisi ile verimli sonuçlar vermektedir (Mission
Bay).
Uygulama yapılacak yüzey basınçlı su ile iyice temizlenmelidir. Bunun için Sea Hawk boya sökücüyü kullanabilirsiniz. Eğer eski boya
bilinmiyorsa daha iyi yapışmasını sağlamak amacıyla bir kat astar uygulanmalı (Barrier Coat veya Tuff stuff ). Fırça ile uygulamada
suyun akış yönü dikkate alınmalı, güneşin etkisine maruz kalan, su hattına yakın bölgelere bir kat fazla uygulanmalıdır.
ANTIFOULING PAINT
Antifouling paint protects the hull against barnacles, algae, slime and other marine and fresh-water fouling organisms, thus increase
fuel consumption and avoid loss of speed. It is recommended to be applied with more than one layer. Furthermore, if you apply the
first and second layers with different colors, then you can see how much antifouling paint is resolved after a while and decide your
requirements accordingly for the future.
While you are going to decide which antifouling should be applied on your boat, there are different parameters like the location, speed,
how often the boat is used and etc. Basicly, there are two types of anti fouling paint, which differs with the amount of cuprous-oxide
inside. The one with high density (Tropikote) is preferred by high speed crafts, and for the others we recommend to apply the one
with low density (Cukote). Furthermore, there is also antifouling paints which are environmentally friendly and non-metal, with today’s
technology they are proven to give efficent results. (Mission Bay).
We advice to clean the hull surface very well before application with water. You can use Sea Hawk Marine Paint Stripper for this
purpose. If old antifouling applied before is unknown we highly recommend to apply a primer system like Barrier Coat or Tuff stuff . For
the applications with roller or brush, the water flow direction should be considered. Please also pay attention to apply one more layer to
the areas in connection with direct sunlight.
