PSS Şaft Keçesi
PSS şaft salmastrası yelkenli teknelerde, motorbotlarda, superyatlarda, sahil
güvenlik, askeri veya romorkör vb. ticari teknelerde kullanılabilir, mekanik olarak su
geçirmezlik sağlar ve gereksiz sintine boşaltma sorunlarını ortadan kaldırır. PSS
şaft salmastrası kolaylıkla yenilenebilir, ürün gamı 20 mm’den 150 mm’ye kadar şaft
çapı aralığını içerir. BV, RINA ve ABS onaylıdır. Amerika’ da üretilmektedir.
PSS şaft salmastrası, sabit karbon fl enç ile dönen paslanmaz çelik bir rotor
arasında oluşturulan mekanik eksenel bir contadır. Sabit karbon fl enç teknenin şaft
kovanına kelepçeler ile bağlanırken, bu karbon fl ençte körüğün ön tarafına yine
kelepçe ile bağlıdır. Paslanmaz çelik rotor karbon fl encin önünde şaftın üzerine
geçirilir. Bilezik şafta setuskur ile sabitlenmeden önce körüğü sıkıştırmak için
paslanmaz çelik rotor kullanılır. Bu sıkıştırma yüzeyler arası kontağı sağlayarak
pervaneden gelen itme kuvvetini sönümler. Karbon fl enç şaft çapından daha
büyüktür, böylece şaftın etrafını sararak hizalama ve titreşim sorunlarını kompanse
eder. Paslanamaz çelik bilezik ile şaftın sızdırmazlığı, bileziğin oyuğunda gömülmüş
iki o-ring ile sağlanır. Bu o-ringler şaft ve paslanmaz çelik rotor ile döner. Bu
operasyon sırasında aşındırma görülmez. Tekne karada iken monte edilebilir ve
montaj öncesi web sitesindeki videoların izlenmesi tavsiye edilir. Sipariş vermek

bilge pumping. PSS, can be applied on sailing yachts, motorboats, superyachts,
coast guard, navy and tug boat etc. commercial ships, The PSS Shaft Seal can be
easily retrofi tted and is available for shafts ranging from 3/4” (20mm) to 6” (150mm).

PSS Shaft Seal
The PSS Shaft Seal is a mechanical face seal that is created between the fl at
surfaces of the rotating stainless steel rotor and the stationary carbon fl ange. The
stationary carbon fl ange is attached to the vessels stern tube with hose clamps and
the carbon fl ange is attached to the front side of the bellows with hose clamps. The
stainless steel rotor is fi t on the shaft in front of the carbon fl ange. The stainless
steel rotor is used to compress the bellows before the collar is secured to the shaft
with set-screws. This compression (pre-load) maintains contact between the faces
and allows the PSS to compensate for the thrust from the propeller. The carbon
fl ange is bored larger than the shaft diameter allowing it to “fl oat” around the shaft
and thus compensate for most misalignment and vibration problems. The stainless
steel collar is sealed to the shaft by two o-rings that are recessed into the bore of
the collar. These o-rings rotate with the shaft and stainless steel rotor and do not
experience wear during operation. In all cases the boat must be out of the water to
install PSS shaft seal. It is recommended to watch the movies available from web
site before installation. Shaft and stern tube diameter shall be measured or known
before ordering. Please check fore and aft measurements. Tip: In diffi cult to Access
areas, wrap a string around the stern tube, measure the circumference and divide
by Pi (3.14)
