Now is the time that we need a clear vision to make the<br />
mission a really dynamic one, asserting its own against the perversion,<br />
moral, political and social that we see around us. The heritage of 500<br />
years of slavery is too strong upon the minds of our generation. We must<br />
with all efforts break it. As mission members we must learn to drop all<br />
class or caste distinctions. We must forget even to entertain them ! All are<br />
Narayana only.<br />
All <strong>Chinmaya</strong> Mission members together form a single happy<br />
<strong>Chinmaya</strong> family of sincere and dedicated serevents of the lord.<br />
Ours is not a political organisation and we have no political<br />
programme. Ours is the human problem - the problem of character - the<br />
texture of the social life. To revive it is to revive man. To reinstate the<br />
personality within each Indian is the goal. Certainly it is a silent and quiet<br />
work if needs endless patience, infinite love and boundless sacrifice form<br />
each member. The mission should except form its members everything,<br />
their money, knowledge, abilities, strengths, their children, influence, time,<br />
health in short we must be ready to give ourselves up for mission. In our<br />
dedicated service, in our courage of conviction, and in our faith in the<br />
glory of our past alone can we inspire the nation which had been dying<br />
for centuries - but not yet dead is the immortal spirit of Bharat.<br />
This is the time for the culture of the rishis to bring hope and<br />
strength, faith and courage to the dying hearts and confused heads.<br />
