2. • Guided Practice: Develop a Multimedia<br />

Presentation<br />

• Note: It is extremely important for this apply<br />

objective that the presentation is developed<br />

according to the procedures listed in the<br />

unpacked content. The teacher should use the<br />

same words <strong>and</strong> steps in order as the<br />

unpacked content when demonstrating this<br />

activity.<br />

• Distribute a Storyboard <strong>and</strong> a Presentation<br />

Development Checklist to each student.<br />

• As a class, define a topic <strong>and</strong> plan a short 6-<br />

slide presentation using the storyboard as<br />

students follow along at their desks<br />

• Demonstrate how to create a multimedia<br />

presentation from the storyboard. Allow<br />

students to make suggestions for the color<br />

scheme, audio or video, graphics, animation,<br />

<strong>and</strong> transitions.<br />

• Upon completion <strong>of</strong> the presentation, evaluate<br />

its effectiveness as a class<br />

• Make a poster <strong>of</strong> the Presentation<br />

Development Checklist, post it prominently in<br />

the room, refer to it <strong>of</strong>ten, <strong>and</strong> periodically<br />

require students to describe what actions take<br />

place in each step <strong>of</strong> the procedure.<br />
