METROPOLITAN WATER RECLAMATION DISTRICT OF GREATER CHICAGO 2009 BUDGET An Ordinance FOR THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2009 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2009 TO PAY THE INTEREST ON OUTSTANDING BONDS AND TO DISCHARGE THE PRINCIPAL THEREOF (CONTINUED) Section 2. That the Clerk of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago be, and is hereby directed to certify to the County Clerk of Cook County, the several amounts above set forth to be raised by taxation in the year 2009 for the purpose of providing the funds to pay the interest on bonds and discharge the principal thereof, and to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with said County Clerk of Cook County, and said County Clerk of Cook County is hereby directed to cause aforesaid amounts of money to be extended upon and against taxable property within the territorial limits of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago as said territorial limits exist on January 1, 2009, and the County Clerk of Cook County is further directed to extend upon all taxable property in all townships or parts of townships disconnected from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago prior to January 1, 2009 those amounts aforesaid necessary to pay the principal and interest for any bonds issued prior to the date of disconnection, all in accordance with the laws and statutes of the State of Illinois in such case made and provided, and the Clerk of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago is hereby directed to cause this Ordinance to be published at least once in a newspaper published within the territorial limits of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago and to incur the necessary expenses therefor. Section 3: This Ordinance shall take effect January 1, 2009.
