Dink Pearson Park<br />
FM 1431 south 11 miles to Lohmans Ford Rd. It’s at the end of<br />
Lohmans Ford Rd, just past the security gates for Pointe Venture.<br />
The 3.6 acre park consists of limestone outcropping with shallow layers of<br />
loam and a gently sloping sandy loam shoreline. The park is covered with<br />
dense juniper/oak woodland while along the shoreline is a semi-open<br />
grassland. No entrance fees.<br />
Gloster Bend Recreation Area<br />
Off Singleton Bend Road, 6 mi. west of <strong>Lago</strong> <strong>Vista</strong> on FM 1431<br />
A mile of grassy shoreline is easily accessible at the 586-acre recreation<br />
area. Park is day-use only. Horseback riding permitted, boat ramp with<br />
paved parking area, picnic tables and grills. $5/vehicle.<br />
Turkey Bend Recreation Area<br />
Off Shaw Road, 9 mi. W of <strong>Lago</strong> <strong>Vista</strong> on FM 1431<br />
400 acres on Lake Travis, prime camping and fishing spots with great views<br />
of the lake. No boat ramp, grassy shoreline for canoes & kayaks. Horseback<br />
riding allowed, fishing, hiking trails, picnic tables, fire rings. $5/vehicle.
