Milestones
1937 U.R.M.E.T. (Utilizzazione e Recupero Materiale
Elettro-Telefonico) was established in Turin
1958 URMET enters the residential and tertiary communication
sector and starts the production of door phones
1967 URMET is one of the first in the world to design
a video door phone system
1996 URMET splits the Video Door Phone branch and the new
URMET Domus company is established
2000 The URMET Domus Group counts more than 50 subsidiaries
and distributors worldwide
2005 The URMET Domus safety catalogue is completed with
the addition of new professional, integrated anti-intrusion,
fire alarm and CCTV systems
2007 Antonio Citterio designs the first Simon Urmet wiring system
2009 Style and design: URMET Domus launches the new video
door phone range: Signo, Imago and Arco
2010 URMET Domus launches IPervoice, a UTP standard wiring
system, TCP IP and 2Voice, the two non-polarised wire system
