AIRLINK RANGE new
The new wireless-WAN routers combine the functionality and features needed to set up
efficient UMTS internet access all in one, while protecting the LAN and ensuring wireless
connections (if available).
Using USB 3G key (UMTS/HSPA/GPRS/EDGE) SIM Card, the device connects to the internet
on demand or permanently via the cell phone network.
Wireless-WAN devices may be used for:
- mobile applications
- installations in geographic areas not served by ADSL
where operators provided UMTS/HSPA/GPRS/EDGE connectivity
- installations which cannot be provided with other wired internet network access
- as backup for a standard ADSL network.
VPN (Virtual Private Network) support offers LAN access also to remote users (single Clients
or entire LAN) in safe or date encrypted manner.
The increasing diffusion of the 3G standard and the faster available speed, UMTS/HSPA
is a valid alternative to broadband connectivity. 3G HSDPA and HSUPA can reach speeds
of up to 7.2 Mbps (download) and up to 5.76 Mbps (upload), which are very comparable
or even better than those of an ADSL line.
This allows to manage classic applications and video streaming. Performance only depends
on the type of 3G key, the operator and the available coverage.
Furthermore, when used with Urmet Domus DVR, in case of alarm, the devices can send text
messages specifying the device which generated the alarm. Internet connection (if not permanent)
can be activated by sending a text message to the device indicating the connection time
or alternatively the device may be automatically operated for a given time.
Wireless-WAN routers provide further protection via internal Firewall with various integrated
security functions.
Protected interconnections with other networks or computers can be established using
the internet guaranteeing safety and confidentiality of the data on “public” network using VPN
(Virtual Private Networks), encryption and IPSec or L2TP/PPTP protocols.
Wireless-WAN routers support advanced internet functions, such as Virtual Server, Dynamic
DNS and Email check.
Where present, Wireless 802.11a/b/g Access Point supports WEP/WPA and WPA2 encryption
protocols, Hide SSID and MAC Filtering, in addition to Wireless Distribution System (WDS)
functions. The wireless section must may be deactivated.
1094/200 3G Router (3G SIM Card and key not included)
3G Router for internet connections via a 3G data connection. The 3G data key
must be compatible with the router and is not included. Use of SIM cards
allowing “free” uplink flow is recommended.
The device must be used indoors.
Composition: 1 3G Router 1 power supply unit.
1094/201 3G Wireless Router 802.11 a/b/g (3G SIM Card and key not included)
3G wireless router for internet connections via 3G data connection and WiFi
connection (802.11 a/b/g) via integrated access point. The 3G data key must be
compatible with the router and is not included. Use of SIM cards allowing “free”
uplink flow is recommended. The device must be used indoors. Composition:
1 3G Router 1 power supply unit + 1 indoor antenna for 2.4Ghz connections.
