Voice communications over the Internet have
become easy with VoIP: all you need is a personal
computer and an ADSL connection to speak
with anyone using the same system,
at no additional costs.
Traditional PSTN domestic and international
numbers can be called at very advantageous rates.
Another remarkable advantage is the possibility
of choosing the VoIP operator to be used for the call
each time regardless of the Internet provider.
This is possible also without a personal computer,
i.e. simply by means of an IP telephone
or ATA interface.
VoIP has radically changed the world of communications
by exploiting existing Local Area Networks.
VoIP technology has developed enormously
over the past years in terms of quality and reliability.
The Urmet Domus range today includes a new VoIP
telephone and an interface for connecting all Agorà
switchboards to the IP network.
