People who love, go-carts, dirt
bikes and ATV’s will never find themselves
bored as long as they’re in
Wise County.
The county offers a variety of
racetracks for young and old alike.
The racetracks even attract several
people from the Dallas/Fort Worth
Metroplex.
ROCKY RIDGE RANCH
The Rocky Ridge Ranch recreation
park for dirt bikes, ATV’s, threewheelers
and four-wheelers also
includes camping opportunities, said
owner Julie Moss, whose grandparents
opened the park 32 years ago.
No go-karts are allowed.
“We hold cross country races because
we are leaning more toward
family weekend type events,” Moss
said.
The park features several miles of
trails, several hills for bikers to climb
and areas for trial rides – where riders
pick a steep rocky area to ride
and go up or down without putting
their feet down. The park also includes
a rock pit, mud pit and a drag
strip for people to go drag racing on
their bikes or four wheelers, Moss
said.
People who camp overnight have
access to showers and port-a-potties.
Electrical hookups are available
for their campers, she added.
The park is not open during the
regular work week, although it
is open Friday from 5 to 10 p.m.
Visitors who stay on the weekends
through Sunday pay a $30 special
per person. There is no camping fee,
but there is a $15 fee to stay per day,
Moss said.

51 near Decatur. The phone number

KAM KARTWAY
The Kam Kartway, located at 4746
E. State Highway 114 in Rhome
(one-fourth mile west of U.S. 81/287),
has an oval go-kart racetrack that’s
one-eighth of a mile in distance, said
owner Mike Engstrom.
