Cahoy had mixed feelings back <strong>the</strong>n when she<br />

Genalyn Cabanag of Davao City has decided to<br />
give her <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong> career a sec<strong>on</strong>d chance.<br />
ABSA College graduate of Ateneo de Davao,<br />
Gen began her <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong> career in August<br />
2001 because she loved <strong>the</strong> products. At<br />
that time, she had a skin problem <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> when she<br />
used <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong> products, she did not <strong>on</strong>ly see evident<br />
changes, but her officemates commended her as well<br />
that her skin was improving. She immediately called her<br />
recruiter to c<strong>on</strong>duct a facial <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> was given a hostess gift.<br />
Gen asked her recruiter to give her an overview of <strong>the</strong><br />
Marketing Plan <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> right <strong>the</strong>re <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong>n, she signed up<br />
as an Independent <str<strong>on</strong>g>Be</str<strong>on</strong>g>auty C<strong>on</strong>sultant.<br />
Her first debut as an Independent Sales Director was in<br />
November 2002. She didn’t last that l<strong>on</strong>g though because<br />
she discovered that her unit members <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> her people<br />
were not str<strong>on</strong>g. When she made a comeback <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
debuted <strong>on</strong>ce again in March 2004, her success was<br />
properly grounded – so grounded that she debuted as<br />
an Independent Senior Sales Director in November 2005.<br />

prove that<br />
<strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong><br />
was a business with great rewards – to her parents,<br />
husb<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> in-laws. This for her was <strong>the</strong> most difficult<br />
challenge she had to face because every<strong>on</strong>e told her that<br />
being an Internal Auditor of URC for five years with a good<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> fixed income – would not measure up to her newfound<br />
business. She had to show <strong>the</strong>m – <strong>the</strong> credible<br />
way – o<strong>the</strong>rwise. And indeed, she did. With <strong>the</strong><br />
achievements she garnered al<strong>on</strong>g <strong>the</strong> way – Milli<strong>on</strong>aire’s<br />
Club, Royal Club, Superstar Perfect Star, Ladder of Success<br />
– <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> a good, steady income – all <strong>the</strong> important people<br />
in her life were c<strong>on</strong>vinced <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> have finally given her <strong>the</strong><br />
support she oh so desired for <strong>the</strong>m to give.<br />
Gen believes that <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong> is a great full time business.<br />
