<strong>NVBDCP</strong> will request Consultant support from WHO. He/she will work closely<br />
with NIMR for development of protocol. The protocol shall be discussed by<br />
experts, WHO and World Bank.<br />
7.1.1.4.3 Vector Susceptibility Studies<br />
The efforts will comprise of studies on vector resistance for the insecticides<br />
use in the programme for changing of insecticides on the basis of<br />
susceptibility test results. This study will be coordinated and conducted by<br />
Zonal Entomological teams in the states, NIMR, RMRI and Universities<br />
(Zoology department). Every year at least 40-50 studies in designated sites<br />
will be completed by NIMR entomological team in collaboration with state<br />
and Regional offices. This study will help to evolve a comprehensive<br />
insecticide map for India and this will help better informed insecticide<br />
policy.<br />
