Environmental studies and impact of climate change in relation to<br />
disease<br />
Assessment of different strategies for communication to promote the<br />
use of Insecticide treated nets , especially LLINs in tribal population<br />
including assessment of the influence of housing types and mobility;<br />
Studies on disease burden for both malaria and Kala-azar<br />
Studies on transmission dynamics in relation with vector, parasite and<br />
environmental conditions in different eco epidemiological stratum;<br />
<strong>NVBDCP</strong> with the help of ICMR Institutions, researchers and academicians<br />
will produce protocols for operational research and support the development<br />
of capacity in research. Active collaboration with ICMR, Medical Colleges,<br />
NGOS and other agencies would be encouraged to carry out Operational<br />
research. The oversight in operational research will be provided with the<br />
help of trained research monitors. It is also proposed to organize meetings<br />
and consultations to bring researchers and programme staff together for<br />
exchange of information and to discuss the programme implications of<br />
important research findings. In turn the researchers will be guided by the<br />
needs of the programme.<br />
