“A new addition to our Platinum portfolio, this hotel is a peaceful oasis just a short way
from old Marrakech.”
They’ve recently snipped the opening ribbon on this All Inclusive
hotel. It’s brand new and more than a little bit special. Take its
design, for instance. It looks like a traditional desert village, with
earthy pink annexes sprinkled around oasis-like gardens. There
are 16 acres in total, laid with lawns, palms and hibiscus trees,
and linked by stone-flagged footpaths. The size and openness of
the place also makes it feel really peaceful, too.
The real showstopper though has to be the pool. It’s super-sized
to say the least - a seemingly endless slab of turquoise.
Marooned in the centre is a pink-domed swim-up bar. And
framing the pool are more stone terraces, lined with sunloungers
and white parasols.
Pool aside, there’s a wellness centre with skin-tingling massages
when you need a perk-me-up. If you want to step things up a
gear, there are tennis courts and a gym. Then come the
restaurants. Along with the smart buffet dining room, you’ll find
a fine Moroccan restaurant and a poolside theme restaurant
where you can enjoy light lunches and Italian cuisine for dinner.
The rooms, meanwhile, fuse modern style with authentic
Moroccan touches. Think a canvas of dusty pinks iced with satiny
bedcovers, inlaid wooden tables and coffee-hued cushions.
One last thing. The hotel’s got itself a place in the smart
Palmeraie district of Marrakech, around a 15-minute cab ride
from its souks and squares. It’s a plus point if you want to do
your sightseeing and then relax in peace and quiet.
