WHD successfully obtained preliminary injunctive relief pending arbitration in a
dispute between its client, a reinsurer, and the defendant, a mortgage insurance
company, where the defendant sought to withdraw funds from the trust
established under reinsurance agreements between the parties, the effect of
which would be to catastrophically affect the reinsurer’s net worth and viability.
After injunctive relief was initially granted, the defendant agreed to submit to the
arbitration process called for by the agreements, leaving the trust fund intact,
and the dispute was later settled on terms favorable to WHD’s client.
