'Leader Launch' Complements Student Character Lessons

LCS Library Profits from Annual Book Fair
For nearly 20 years, the Sonshine Harbor Book Fair
has come to the Lakeland Christian School library for one
week in October. This fair gives students and parents the
opportunity to purchase books, DVDs and other special
gifts all while helping to raise money for LCS. This year,
the library received 21 percent profit from the total sales of
the book fair and included
both books for the
library and cash to
purchase additional
books to expand the
library’s collection.
The library staff
would like to thank all of
the families who supported
the book fair this year.

Group Continues
CARE Fundraising
for AIDS
Efforts
The LCS Care for AIDS club continues to raise
funds to operate a medical center in Kenya, Africa.
Now in its second year, this clinic is fully operational
and actively caring for the physical, emotional and
spiritual needs of AIDS victims in Kenya.
Seniors Brice Futch and Eric Ebersole are
heading up the fundraising efforts for this Care for
AIDS and are responsible for raising $18,000 each
year to keep the clinic running. If you would like
to partner with them, please send all donations to
the school. Checks should be made out to Lakeland
Christian School with “CFA” in the memo line. If
