This model has been designed to mimic the input of a sludge stream. The user inputs the<br />

total suspended solids, a few state variables, and a couple of stoichiometric fractions.<br />

From these inputs, the organic solids are partitioned into heterotrophic biomass (i.e.<br />

degradable particulate material), polyphosphate accumulating biomass (CNPLIB only)<br />

and un-biodegradable particulate material. The remaining particulate organic state<br />

variables are set to zero. All the soluble state variables are defaulted to zero in this model,<br />

except for dissolved oxygen and alkalinity.<br />

This model is appropriate if a full influent characterization has been performed and the<br />

influent state variables have been calculated manually. If the user selects the states<br />

model, input values for the state variables, and a few stoichiometric fractions used for<br />

calculating the composite variables are required. The CNlib states data entry form<br />

(Composition > Influent Composition) is shown in Figure 5-9, and the stoichiometry<br />

entry form (Composition > Influent Stoichiometry) is shown in Figure 5-10.<br />
